Early life
Ismail Haniyeh was born in the al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza, om May 23, 1963, after his parents were displaced from Asqalan during the 1948 Nakba, the “Israeli” doing ethnical cleansing of Palestinian people in that area.
An example of war crime that the “Israelis” always have been doing against the Palestinian people. Now in Gaza, to be judged by the International Court of Justice: an “Israeli” genocide!
Family members killed by “Israel”
On April 10, six of Hanieh’s family members, including three of his sons and a number of his grandchildren, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting their car, after they had taken it to drive around in their refugee camp during celebration of Id, a holyday.
On June 24, 10 of his family members, including his sister, were killed in an “Israeli” attack that deliberately targeted their home in the camp.
“We will declare victory”
Haniyeh said: ”Nearly 60 of my family members rest as martyrs, like other children of Palestine, there is no difference.”
He added: “The occupying power, “Israel”, thinks targeting he children of Resistance leaders would break the will of the Palestinian people. They are wrong.
We will in the end, declare victory.”
